3D laser & LiDAR scanning
We scan components, plant and whole sites and turn the result into a measurable record — accurate geometry you can work from without going back to the field.
On-site scanning from Johannesburg and Somerset West, across South Africa.

One visit
Everything in range is captured at once, so a forgotten dimension does not mean a second trip.
Live plant stays running
Scanning is non-contact and needs no strip-down, so equipment can often be captured in service.
A record that lasts
The cloud can be measured again years later for the next modification or repair.
Any scale
A single component through to a full site, captured in sections and stitched into one model.
Project highlight
Truck scanned and modelled for 3D printing
The client needed an accurate scale model of a truck with no drawings available and no chance of dismantling the vehicle. We scanned it complete, cleaned and registered the point cloud into a single mesh, then rebuilt it as a watertight solid model with the wall thicknesses and clearances a printer needs. The finished files went straight to print, and the same model is still used for visualisation and fitment work.
What we scan
- Individual components and assemblies
- Tanks, vessels and pressure equipment
- Process plant, piping and structural steel
- Buildings, plant rooms and existing services
- Site topography and stockpiles
What you get back
- Registered point cloud in your preferred format
- Mesh or solid CAD model where one is needed
- Dimensioned as-built drawings
- Clash and deviation checks against design intent
Software and equipment we have and use
Our own kit and licences, so the work stays in house from capture through to model.
